About Zebedee
I’m a passionate STEM tutor with a strong academic background. I studied Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, having achieved top A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. I enjoy helping students see how complex concepts can make sense when explained in the right way, and I find this is where they start enjoying the subjects most too. I’ve supported friends and classmates with exam preparation and revision, and I now offer structured one-to-one tutoring to help others achieve their goals. Whether you’re aiming to boost your grades, prepare for exams, or understand some challenging topics, I’ll work with you to make steady progress and actually enjoy the process of learning.

I tailor my lessons to each student’s specific aims and learning styles, but my view is that, certainly for STEM subjects, the best exam performances come when students can grasp an intuitive understanding of the concepts so as to apply them to different scenarios, so I aim to explain concepts in new ways that help students really engage. For GCSE and A-level sessions, I like to work with exam style questions to ensure we keep focused on what matters. We work through questions, either as we go, or I can mark prepared work in advance and then try to address the key things from each question, from helping the student to properly understand the concept to advising them on the tips and tricks to make sure you mop up all the marks for the exam board. I can run my sessions in whatever form best suits you, be that a series of sessions working through a syllabus to general revision sessions aiming to quickly diagnose the main issues.
