About David
I am currently studying a 4 year MA in Economics & International Relations at the University of St Andrews after graduating High School a year early. For both these degree programmes the University is ranked alongside or above LSE and Oxbridge respectively.
In High School, I was a year ahead of the Scottish CFE in Maths and studied my Advanced Higher alongside Highers in English, Biology, Chemistry & Computer Science.
While at High School I competed internationally at Maths in the international youth math challenge, reaching the pre-final round. Alongside this I also tutored maths to other students in my high school, some even older than me. This has helped me develop my skills as a tutor and abilities to clearly communicate and break down complex problems in an understandable way.
I will bring these strong teaching and communication skills to tutoring your children and you should expect nothing but the best results.

I cater to all ability levels and will adapt lessons accordingly (with prior experience tutoring children to push them beyond the curriculum and to help them catch up from behind, alongside specialist work with SEND children). I am very flexible in my content and will tailor my lessons to each individual student. My overall structure usually looks like first explaining the concept (or if they have learnt it in school asking them to explain it) to clear up any misconceptions before then working through problems step by step together and then setting them some to do on their own. I will always patiently assist them in their learning and ensure they feel supported throughout their learning journey.
