About Riya
I bring over 4 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Physics with Computational Science to every session. My teaching revolves around simulations and virtual labs that reveal the structure behind thermodynamics. These tools make statistical mechanics less intimidating and far more engaging. I’m passionate about exploring energy transfer in systems of all sizes. Entropy, in particular, becomes easier to understand through interactive demonstrations. Molecular behavior is one of my favorite topics to teach. I excel at turning abstract concepts into mental images that stick. Everyday examples anchor these ideas in reality. I aim to help students not only solve problems but also develop intuition. Learning physics should feel both challenging and exciting. I teach Physics by connecting ideas, practice, and confidence. AP Physics students need a mix of concept review and strong problem-solving skills, so I focus on both. We cover mechanics, E&M, thermodynamics, and waves with simple explanations. Targeted drills help build the automatic skills needed for high scores. Practice tests show students how to manage exam pressure. My math strengths help explain why formulas work, not just how to use them. I bring sci-fi references into lessons to make physics more enjoyable. I train students in efficient problem-solving strategies. We also discuss exam structure and smart guessing methods. Each session aims to reduce fear and increase clarity. I always support students as they work toward excellence. Their confidence grows as they master each topic.
