About Imogen
I am a committed Saxophone tutor with 7 years of teaching experience, having guided approximately 150 students from beginners to advanced players. I believe learning music should always connect theory with practical application.
My teaching style is balanced and practical. I explain musical concepts clearly and immediately apply them on the instrument. Lessons focus on tone development, breathing control, finger coordination, rhythm, and expressive playing.
I use exercises, familiar songs, and listening practice to make lessons interesting and effective. I also guide students on how to plan daily practice routines for consistent improvement.
What makes my tutoring unique is my ability to connect learning directly to real playing situations. My aim is to help students become confident and independent saxophone players.

I foster a positive and supportive environment where achievements are celebrated and challenges become opportunities for growth. Lessons cover saxophone technique, improvisation, performance skills, musical interpretation, and theory to provide a complete musical foundation.
In addition to saxophone, I teach complementary subjects such as sight-reading, ear training, ensemble performance, and music theory. My aim is to nurture confident, expressive musicians with a lifelong passion for music.
