About Antonia
I’ve always been drawn to understanding how people think, learn, and overcome challenges — especially when something feels hard or overwhelming. I’m a qualified engineer with 5 years’ professional experience, and I tutored high school mathematics during my studies. That experience showed me how quickly not only students, but people in general, can lose confidence in math — and how often it’s not a lack of ability, but self-doubt, pressure, or the belief that they’re “just not good at it” that holds them back. I care deeply about helping students move past these blocks. In my lessons, I focus on creating a calm, supportive space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and build trust in their own thinking. When confidence grows, understanding follows — and math starts to feel far more manageable. Above all, I’m genuinely invested in my students’ progress. My goal is to help students not only strengthen their math skills, but also develop confidence, resilience, and a positive relationship with learning that supports them both in and beyond the classroom.

No two students are the same, which is why I approach every lesson with curiosity and openness to what each student truly needs.
My lessons are student-centred and tailored to the individual — whether that means a structured, step-by-step approach or a more open, exploratory session. We focus not only on understanding the maths itself, but also on addressing the “elephant in the room”: the self-doubt, pressure, or frustration that often blocks learning.
I break complex concepts down into clear, logical steps and encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence in their problem-solving ability. By creating a calm, supportive environment, students begin to enjoy learning again and develop trust in their own thinking.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are designed to build both understanding and confidence over time.
I am a qualified engineer with over 5 years’ experience teaching high school mathematics, supporting students across a range of abilities — from those needing foundational support to those wanting to strengthen their performance and confidence.
My lessons are suited to high school students (Years 7–12) who want clearer understanding, stronger problem-solving skills, and greater confidence in maths.
