About Miranda
I'm a recent graduate with a first-class degree in English Literature, and I'm about to start a Master's in Early Modern English Literature. In particular, I love to study medieval and early modern texts, but I tend to read fantasy books for fun.
During school, I struggled with finding the "right way" to answer questions in my exams, and so I understand how frustrating it can be to feel stuck when it comes to wading through a mark scheme.
Since coming to university, I've been tutoring fellow students on essay technique and comprehension, and would love to help you develop these skills too.
I hold GCSEs and A-Levels in English Literature, as well as A-Levels in Classics and Religious Studies.

I can help students who struggle with reading and essay writing to become familiar with set texts and materials through half-hour or hour-long sessions online. I believe that reading comprehension doesn't have to be daunting, and that deep familiarity with the core materials can help students produce the best grades for their assignments. I can help students develop their ability to effectively answer questions on core texts assigned to them. I can also help with developing general literacy and reading ability, as well as helping students to improve essay technique and written communication.
