About Shan Yang
Hi! I'm Shan Yang and I am just a secondary student who is passionate about Mathematics and wishes to guide more people into facing the much-feared subject with the right tool and attitude. I dislike rote memorisation and believe that learning should be based on a firm understanding of core concepts. I hope that I, as another fellow student, can offer perspectives that are relevant and easily understood by my peers.

I like to take things slow and show the beauty and fundamentals of any concepts, occasionally even touching on mathematical history. I can teach best when the student has a specific problem/issue that they want to focus on.
A typical lesson is approx 1 hour.
I have an A* (97%) in IGCSE Add Math and A* (99%) in IGCSE Ext Math. I used to teach my friends how to approach mathematical concepts and found that they could understand my explanations very easily because I understood exactly what problem they were facing.
