About William
I am an alumnus of King's College London Maths School with an A* in Maths and Computer Science and an A in Physics and Further Maths. I am now an undergraduate student in King's College London university.
I owe much of my skills, both in coaching and application, to the collaborative atmosphere at KCLMS, where students would spend free periods doing challenging exercises on whiteboards in empty classrooms.
I later exercised these helping peers during the first year of University, as the course (which did not require Computer Science or Further Maths at A Level) reprised much of the A Level content I had learned already to bring my classmates to a common baseline.

I view learning as a process that occurs best as a byproduct of exploration and interest.
My approach to teaching is to provide real world or realistic applications of concepts and help optimise a student's intuitive method to solving the problem.
Thus the student retains a sense of ownership over their skills and a sense of achievement when the problem is solved.
My lessons are aimed at those who find it difficult to master the theory or techniques behind difficult problems by using 'textbook learning' and rote memorisation.
I aim to apply the skills I developed helping my peers understand these subjects during my A Level studies, and more recently during university. Ideally students are able to regard me as a helping hand instead of another teacher whose expectations need to be met and managed.
Sessions could last from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student, and would be split into sections. Longer sessions for more open ended subjects like creative problem solving, theory and programming, and shorter sections for simpler repetitive techniques, as these can sometimes wear on a student.
