About Tomas
Hi, I'm Tomas. I am a 2nd bachelor student in physics at KULeuven. From my own experience, science in school is quite intimidating. That is why I want to try to make people more familiar with the methods and objectives of the subject. My father is a physicist himself and has always been able to help me with school, but others do not have the same luxury. By tutoring I can therefore share my own interests and at the same time help someone in need.

First and foremost I try to introduce a strong intuitive understanding of the subject matter. Not only does this help now, but it makes it easier to understand more difficult material in the future. It also gives motivation to make exercises. The theory is run through without focusing too much on confusing formalities, and paying more attention to the purpose and reasoning behind each step. The first exercises are made with the theory at hand. Like this they can be solved step by step and the importance of formalities becomes clearer. After that, it is up to the student to get started with all the necessary support or hints.
I tutor at secondary level with preference for grade 1 and 2, and especially for mathematics and physics. I speak English as my second mother tongue and can therefore also teach in English.

Tomas is heel goed in ingewikkelde dingen op een simpele manier uit te leggen. Als je vast zit op een oefening legt hij ook opnieuw de theorie uit zodat je begrijpt waar je mee bezig bent. Hij is vriendelijk, geduldig en helder. Hij is dus zeker aan te raden voor al wie het moeilijk heeft met fysica!
Hij heeft me erg vooruit geholpen op de vragen die ik had. Hij heeft hier nog extra informatie over gegeven wat het makkelijker maakte om alles te begrijpen. Zeker een goede bijles, bedankt!
