About Joy
I studied English Teaching and Teaching Mandarin as a Second Language in Ming Chuang University back in Taiwan . I also have a TESOL certificate. I also have experience as an intern teacher in three different primary schools, mostly teaching 5~10 years old children. I also work as a tutor teaching teenagers and adults who want to improve their English or Mandarin. I am now a master student studying master of teaching in QUT, hope I can keep improving myself to help more people

There are two methods that I enjoy to use the most which are visualization and cooperative methods. For visualization method, it means that teacher can put academic concepts into life with visual and practical learning experiences, in this case I can help students to understand how their schooling applies in the real-world.
Examples include using the interactive whiteboard to display photos, audio clips and videos, as well as encouraging students to get out of their seats with classroom experiments and local field trips.
Another method I love to use which is cooperative one. For using this method, the teacher has to encourage students of mixed abilities to work together by promoting small group or whole class activities.
Through verbally expressing their ideas and responding to others students in the classroom, this will develop their self-confidence, as well as enhance their communication and critical thinking skills which are vital throughout life.
Solving mathematical puzzles, conducting scientific experiments and acting out short drama sketches are just a few examples of how cooperative learning can be incorporated into classroom lessons.
