About Daniel
Hello, I am a computer science student currently attending the University of Toronto. I have always had a passion for mathematics and computer science and am thrilled to be pursuing these subjects at the university level. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also have a keen interest in economics and enjoy exploring the intersection of these fields.
Throughout my academic career, I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to excellence and achieved a 99% average in my high school located in Toronto. I am excited to continue challenging myself and pushing my boundaries as a student, researcher, and future professional. With my strong foundation in math and computer science, I am confident that I have the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in any academic or professional setting.

As a math and computer science tutor, my approach is to create a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and engage in critical thinking. I aim to identify the unique strengths and weaknesses of each student and tailor my teaching to their learning style, preferences, and goals. I firmly believe that everyone has the ability to learn and understand complex concepts, and it's my responsibility as a tutor to help them do so.
My teaching methodology involves breaking down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable pieces and relating them to real-life examples to help students understand their relevance. I encourage students to actively participate in the learning process by asking questions, solving problems, and explaining their reasoning. I also incorporate visual aids, such as diagrams and illustrations, to help students better visualize and understand abstract concepts.
A typical lesson plan would begin by reviewing the material from the previous lesson and addressing any questions or concerns the student may have. I would then introduce new concepts and provide examples to demonstrate their application. Afterward, we would work through problems together, and I would encourage the student to solve problems independently to reinforce their understanding. At the end of the session, we would review the key takeaways from the lesson and discuss how the material can be applied in different contexts.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students and build a rapport with them. I strive to create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. I also have a deep understanding of the material and am able to present it in a clear and concise manner that is easy to understand.
