About Soroush
I have tutoring and competitive experience in both Mathematics and English. I have competed in bimonthly Caribou Mathematics contests between 2017 and 2021, scoring up to 30% above the contest average.
I also have taught English to students between grade 2 and 5 at my previous school, helping them prepare for provincial EQAO assessments and assisting with general classroom learning.

LESSON PLAN:
English: Begins with grammar, followed by sentence/paragraph structure (based on level), then practiced with fiction and non-fiction texts. Culminates in a guided paragraph/non-guided 1-2 paragraph assignment.
Math: Follows Ontario curriculum. Begins with Number Sense, then moves to Measurement, then Data Management, then Algebra, followed by Coding. Pace can be augmented at parent's request.
I am an AP secondary student taking AP English, Math, and other core subjects. I have academic success in these areas, averaging an A+ in English and an A in Mathematics. I also have experience with teaching kids literacy over 2 years.
