About Annabelle
I'm a student at the University of St Andrews and have been tutoring or teaching in one way or another since the age of 15. I've tutored a variety of ages, ranging from 7 years old to 16 years old, for people sitting exams and for those who are new to their subjects. I have studied in both the British (up to GCSE) and Scottish school systems (Higher, Advanced Higher), and so am able to cater to both. I prioritise individual enjoyment and engagement with a subject over forced rote learning: whatever it is you're struggling with, I'll help you tackle it in a way which is personalised to your needs and interests.

Personalised lessons last for one hour. These can cover a range of subjects within English to suit personal needs, such as (but not limited to) essay writing, exam preparation, creative writing help, developing analytical skills, and close reading. Help for younger ages is also available—improving reading, SPAG and comprehension. I have tutored in various areas outside of English, including maths, and have also taught guitar, however, I have now chosen to focus solely on English as this is my degree subject at the University of St Andrews (ranked first in the UK for the subject in the 2023 Guardian University Guide) and I am eager to share my enjoyment of the subject, as well as helping to make it more accessible.
