About Sophia

I am a second-year student at the University of Virginia studying pre-Commerce and French on the pre-law track. I am originally from DC and went to The Madeira School where I had the privilege of tutoring underprivileged students in DC! At UVA, I am a member of Alpha Phi sorority and the Treasurer for an all-women's pre-law organization, as well as the VP of Member Experience for a finance ethics organization called Scholars of Finance. I am a former competitive dancer, love to travel, and am fluent in French!

About the lesson

I can tutor all high school ages, and focus mainly on practice questions for the subject area while explaining the concept and strategy behind them simultaneously. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have several years of tutoring experience under my belt and have worked with a variety of students in topics ranging from Mathematics to French! I truly love the process of getting to know students and watching them grow, and I try my best to customize the tutoring experience for each student I work with.
