About Julia
I’ve been helping children with their work for a long time, and seeing them improve is what inspires me to teach. I have a warm, supportive approach that builds strong bonds, helping students feel comfortable and confident. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of success with many students passing important exams, and teachers and parents have seen clear improvements in their work and attitude. My goal is always to help every child grow, believe in themselves, and feel proud of what they can achieve.

My tutoring approach is supportive, confidence-focused, and tailored to each child’s needs. I break down topics into simple steps, use plenty of guided practice, and encourage students to think independently so they feel capable and assured in their abilities. Lessons are usually 60 minutes and designed to build confidence as much as skills, with steady progress and positive reinforcement throughout. I have experience as a tutor helping KS2 students prepare for the 11+ and SATs, and my lessons are ideal for children in Years 4–6 who need structured preparation and want to increase their confidence in time for exams.

Perfect! Had a good first lesson with Julia on English comprehension, she explained word definitions that were easy to understand for my 9 yr old and helped her work on text inference.
