As a student at the Vienna University of Technology, I enjoy teaching chess and mathematics. I have been doing the former since childhood and I enjoy helping motivated players who want to improve.

About Ákos Balázs
I am Ákos, I have been playing chess since I was 5 years old. I took my advanced math, English and computer science exams at the Leőwey Klára High School in Pécs. In the meantime, I obtained two higher language exams in German and English. I am currently continuing my studies at the Vienna University of Technology. It has been almost four years since I have had the honor of playing for the Komlói Bányász NB1 team. After graduating from university, I would like to do more chess and improve myself. In my free time, I also fence, windsurf and skate.

The lessons would primarily be aimed at players who are not completely beginners.
For smoother progress, an ELO level of around 1500-1600 (FIDE or online) would be recommended.
First, we would jointly map out the shortcomings and set a level in order to set realistic goals.
I fundamentally believe in the saying "a lot of small things go a long way": This means that we would specifically solve all deficiencies (e.g. tactical vision, calculation techniques, time management, etc.).
NOTE: The playing style can of course be tailored to the individual, but I personally believe in attacking chess, as it allows you to learn more in the long run and offers a more flexible foundation.
