About Clara
Passionated about English since high school, my higher education has been divided between law and foreign languages.
I first did a bachelor's degree in law and foreign languages (English and Spanish) of which I graduated as 'Best student' in 2017. During my bachelor I had the chance to do a university exchange of 5 months in Melbourne, Australia which allowed me to develop my proficiency in English in a thorough way. In order to carry out this exchange I had to pass the TOEFL (English exam). I obtained it with a score of 103 out of 120.
Following my bachelor I did the Master-Trilingual Lawyer of the University of Nantes which I am currently a student in Master 2.
During my first year of Master I did a three-month internship in a law firm in Sydney in Australia and wrote a thesis of a hundred pages in English .
Thanks to these experiences I am now fluent in both 'everyday' English and English spoken in a professional environment and I would love to share my passion for English with anybody willing to learn!

Having done school tutoring many times I usually work with individual students however I am keen to do group work as well.
I have a flexible approach to learning English because I am convinced that learning by heart is useless. Thus, I first discuss with the students their difficulties and their progress goals.
I during classes focus on the difficulties encountered by the students always trying to link the course to their centers of interest in order to make the lessons fun and more attractive.
I, of course, adapt myself to the level of the students while preparing my courses but a 'normal' course begins with a mini quiz on what was learnt previously. Then I continue with oral / written comprehension tasks or oral / written expression tasks depending on the needs of the student. The tasks are generally short in order to be able to work on different skills and to have the time to correct each task with the student.
However, I remain totally flexible regarding the organization of the courses.
