About Leah
I am going into Senior year at UConn, double majoring in math and math education. I will be completing my full student teaching this spring in a high school. All throughout school I have always loved math but really had to work at concepts, understanding the "why" is very valuable as well as the "how". Outside of school, I love watching and playing sports, coffee, my dog, and family.

My experience at the Navy Child and Youth Program has helped me know and support hundreds of children in Navy families and work with 30+ Individualized Education Plans while supporting each and every one in every aspect. With any student, my first goal is to get to know the student and their goal before we start. In learning math, I believe that practice is the best way to learn, I can teach or help go over concepts and lessons then work through problems, focus on step-by-step then make sure that we know why each process happens.
