First i start with knowledge of the student, its important to know that what your student already know, the misconceptions definitely everyone has though, common, and after that i pick that point which has to be corrected or that is the link which is to start the concept of the subject, to make the strong understanding of the subject. Afterwards i prefer to start with the concepts of theory and make the student to make his /her notes so that the points must be learnt, then i go through with the practicals with the application of theory.
