About Faiza
My name is Faiza Zamir, and I am a student who has always found my greatest comfort, joy, and purpose between the pages of a book or at the tip of a pen. For as long as I can remember, words have been my closest companions. Similarly, writing has always been my anchor. On days when the world felt overwhelming or my emotions too tangled to untangle, I would reach for my journal. Writing gave me a voice when I felt invisible and clarity when I felt confused. These two gifts—reading and writing—have shaped who I am, and they are the very reason I am applying for this teaching position.
I believe with my whole heart that reading and writing are not merely academic subjects to be checked off a curriculum list. They are, in fact, the most essential tools a child can acquire for navigating life itself. Reading opens doors to empathy, allowing a child to step into someone else's shoes and see the world through different eyes.

I would teach the importance of reading and writing for young children. Mainly focusing on improving their vocabulary and self-expression. My special feature as a student is that I am a "bridge-builder." I am not just a learner; I am a translator between the complex world of grown-up ideas and the imaginative, curious world of a child. I remember what it felt like to not know a word, and I also remember the pure joy of finally finding the perfect word to express a feeling. This allows me to teach vocabulary and self-expression not as a chore, but as an adventure in "finding your voice
