About Clea
I am a psychology student who has been working for a tutoring centre for the past year, and I now want to take things into my own hands and tutor independently! I have trained as an assistant in primary and secondary schools, ran an English development class when I was in sixth form, and taught GCSE psychology classes. Since then, I have tutored 15 hours a week in English, Reading and Maths at primary level and (surprisingly) loved every second! Since c0vid-19, I have been tutoring privately online, for about 15-20 hours per week, and have recently begun in-person classes.

Every child is unique. I have tutored and taught from ages 4 to 16 so - for a student - I'd say I've worked with a lot of different children. With that being said, I'm all about flexibility. What I do have that makes me *kinda* special is my connections with teachers allowing me access to a constantly-updated database of resources designed specifically for SATs preparation. My methods will involve working *with* the student, encouraging them and giving them the confidence they need - using example questions and scaffolding methods to build up to being able to tackle these. Mostly, I aim to keep your child on my side so we can tackle their learning together!

Details
Prices are for SATs online tutoring. GCSE tutoring will be £15 online, per hour. I can tutor Nat5s (I have done so for 1 year) but I have less access to resources and test-specific information, so for in-person tutoring in Edinburgh I will focus on skills over specific questions, and the price will be lowered accordingly. I can offer lessons in Edinburgh city centre, e.g. in a cafe, at the online rate. Cancellation will require a 30% payment of the lesson fee (to cover the time I spend outside of the lesson preparing - so rearranging won't incur a fee!).
