About Shea
I am a Human Geographer with experience in tutoring k-12 students on private school and college test interview prep. I have also been a teaching assistant for different college courses as well as an instructor for university transition courses. I have my bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies and am working towards my Ph.D. in geography.

My teaching methods are to look at my students' strengths and interests and work to cultivate a space where they can thrive. When I work with k-12 students I focus on keeping lessons and practice problems short and concise with breaks in between to make sure that the student doesn't burn out. With older students, I work to make sure that they fully understand the topics and can apply them. For this, I do a more seminar-based way of learning rather than question and answer.
