About Tommy
I am very passionate about music. I have been working as a music producer for the past 5 years. I have a lot of weaknesses(9-5 jobs, navigating directions, etc) but two of my biggest strengths are my skill and knowledge of music production and that I'm very good with kids. I also think I'm strong at communicating simply to other people so they can understand. I went to Massey University to study Commercial music but I think in 2022 a better approach to learning music production at a school would be a more autonomous approach where it is a combination of a teacher who can guide and navigate the student to what he or she is interested in - rather than waste a lot of time in classrooms where they will teach you set curriculum that you may or may not be interested in.

1-2 hour lessons using Ableton Live.
I'd love to find out what aspect of music production that you are interested in - what type of music you like - what kind of producer you want to be and move in a direction suitable to your interests. You can learn at the pace you wish to learn at. Ableton is more complicated than other DAWs but I think you will come to appreciate it more as you understand it better.
There will be homework every week. (Required reading, music practice, etc)
Depending on your skill level I'd teach you ins and outs of Ableton - the fundamentals and theory behind music production and move you in the direction that is suitable to your interests.
As a musician myself - I can also offer advice on all things related to Spotify releasing, funding opportunities, and all the non-musical things that are necessary for being a producer in 2022. (if interested)
