About Cillian
My name is Cillian and I have recently completed my Leaving Certificate, achieving a H1 in biology and 555 points overall. I have always enjoyed Biology and I would love the opportunity to help other students become more confident in the subject.
I understand that Biology can sometimes feel like a lot of information to take in, so my aim is to make topics easier to understand and lessons relaxed and enjoyable. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and working through areas they find difficult.
I am interested in teaching because I enjoy helping others and explaining things in a way that makes sense. I would like to use my own experience of studying for the Leaving Certificate to help students prepare for their exams and achieve their goals.

My Biology grinds are designed to help Leaving Certificate students build confidence and develop a strong understanding of the course.
Lessons can be tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that involves going through difficult topics, explaining concepts in a simpler way, revising specific chapters, or preparing for exams. We can work through exam questions together and focus on understanding how to structure answers and use the marking scheme effectively.
I aim to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking their time to understand topics properly. As someone who has recently completed the Leaving Certificate, I understand the course, the exam format, and the challenges students can face while studying Biology.
Whether you are struggling with certain topics, hoping to improve your grades, or simply looking for extra support and revision, lessons can be adapted to suit your goals.
I am flexible to travel around Cork City and surrounding suburbs or students are welcome to come to me for lessons.
