About Rebecca

Hi! I’m an experienced elementary educator specializing in helping students build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math while growing their confidence as learners.

I’ve worked with a wide range of students in grades K–8, including those who need extra support and those looking for advanced enrichment. My approach is personalized, patient, and engaging. I tailor each session to meet the individual needs of the student rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.

In reading, I focus on phonics, fluency, and comprehension to help students become more confident and independent readers. In math, I emphasize number sense, problem-solving, and building a deep understanding of concepts. I also support writing skills, including sentence structure, organization, and editing.

My goal is not just to improve academic performance, but to help students feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress. I strive to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks.

I offer both in-person and online sessions and aim to make learning interactive and engaging in either format. I also communicate regularly with families so they feel informed and confident about their child’s growth.

About the lesson

Hi families! I’m an elementary educator offering 1:1, small-group, and online summer tutoring in reading, writing, and math.

I also offer outdoor “learn + play” sessions at local parks —a fun, low-pressure way to keep kids engaged while strengthening skills.

What I focus on:
• Reading (phonics, fluency, comprehension)
• Writing & sentence building
• Math confidence & problem solving

Sessions are:
• Personalized and engaging (not worksheet-heavy)
• Designed to build confidence and skills
• Available in-home, online, or at a park for maximum flexibility
