About Sarah-Lynn
I am a Canadian who has lived in the UK for almost 7 years!
I have taught in 3 countries: Canada, Ecuador, and the UK.
When I was in Highschool, I was failing Maths! I had a teacher spend 3 evenings a week tutoring me. Because of this, I can empathise with students who struggle. It can feel isolating, overwhelming, and sometimes bring about shame.
Through my experience of being tutored, then spending 5 years in Teacher's College (that's how long it is in Canada,) and of course, supporting my own students to reach and surpass their expected targets, I believe I've gained priceless experience in connecting with each child in a way that allows them to unlock the Maths strands.
This is particularly important when preparing students for big exams.
My passion is making learning applicable to life.
As such, I tend to bring real-world problems into our lessons.
These are always super fun and rewarding for the child.
