About Theresa Mashangane
Hello! My name is Theresa, and I am a passionate and patient English tutor with experience supporting learners of all ages, from children to adults. I have worked as a tutor, teacher assistant, and language consultant, helping students improve their reading, writing, comprehension, and confidence in English. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate, a Reading Academy certificate, and have experience as a Reading Champion, which allows me to provide structured and effective support in literacy and language skills. I enjoy creating lessons that are clear, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s needs, and I love seeing students gain confidence as they progress. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, learning about language development, and finding creative ways to make learning enjoyable. I am reliable, patient, and committed to helping learners achieve their goals, whether for school, work, or personal growth.

I begin by understanding what the learner wants to improve, whether it’s reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, academic English, or general communication skills. Lessons are interactive and paced according to the learner’s needs, using clear explanations, guided practice, reading activities, and practical exercises to build confidence and understanding. I focus on creating a calm and encouraging learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. Progress is steady and measurable, and I adjust each lesson to ensure learners feel supported, motivated, and confident in their English development.
