About Cynthia
I have 11 years of teaching experience and hold a Master of Philosophy in Mathematics. During my teaching career, I have supported learners with diverse educational backgrounds, helping them overcome mathematical challenges through patience, structured guidance, and personalized instruction. I enjoy creating lessons that inspire curiosity while helping students develop confidence in their own abilities.
One learner found introductory calculus intimidating because connecting graphical interpretations with algebraic techniques felt challenging. My goal is to help students develop genuine confidence in mathematics by combining conceptual understanding with consistent practice. Before instruction begins, I evaluate each learner's current abilities, preferred learning methods, and academic objectives. This information allows me to design lessons that address individual needs while building strong mathematical foundations for long-term success.
Students receive comprehensive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, pre-calculus, calculus, and mathematical reasoning through organized and engaging lessons. I present concepts using multiple teaching methods, including visual demonstrations, interactive discussions, practical applications, and structured problem-solving exercises. Students learn to compare solution strategies, justify mathematical decisions, and recognize relationships between different areas of mathematics.
