About Lydie
My passion for teaching began when I started helping my son prepare for the 11+.
What began as support quickly became something I truly enjoy. I discovered how rewarding it is to help someone understand, gain confidence and move forward.
I teach a bit like climbing. Everyone starts at a different point. Progress happens step by step. I focus on strong foundations, clear explanations and encouragement. I teach French in a calm, patient and structured way, adapting lessons to each learner.
I teach children, teenagers and adults, from beginners to intermediate level. I especially support learners who lack confidence or have struggled before. My aim is simple: to make learning feel achievable, motivating and positive.

My tutoring approach is clear, supportive and student-centred. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level, goals and confidence. Lessons combine grammar explanations, vocabulary development and practical speaking practice. I also support exam preparation when needed, helping students understand requirements and build confidence rather than rely on rote learning.
Lessons usually last 60 minutes and can be in person in London or online. I teach children, teenagers and adult learners, from beginners to intermediate level. I am patient and encouraging, and I particularly enjoy supporting learners who may lack confidence or have struggled with languages in the past
