About Susanne
I moved to the UK when I was 18 and lived in different places across the country which allowed me to meet people from many different cultural backgrounds.
All these encounters and experiences have had a profound impact on many aspects of my life. Not only did I make new friends from across the world, but I gained confidence, independence and self-awareness that I want to use to support others in achieving their goals.
I want to share my experience and cultural insights with English learners, no matter where they are on their language learning journey.
I love teaching because it is extremely rewarding to make a difference in someone else’s life and watching them grow in confidence and fluency.
I am starting an MA in Applied Linguistics/TESOL in autumn 2023 to combine theory and research with my English teaching practice.

It’s important to me that you get to the level you desire whilst you develop the confidence to speak English as much as possible.
However, teaching English to me is about the journey not just about the destination. What this means is that I make my lessons fun and tailor them around interesting topics and authentic materials.
Lessons typically last an hour but are flexible in length.
Throughout my CELTA teaching course I have developed a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goal of communicating effectively in English, whether that is because you live in an English-speaking country, for travelling or just for pleasure.
