About Jasmine
Hi there!
My name is Jasmine. I completed my HSC exams in 2012 and received an ATAR of 97.3.
Due to my love of reading, writing and learning, I was able to complete my English (Advanced) exams one year in advance, securing a band 6 result.
I'm a very patient, empathetic, friendly and positive person. Covid took a toll on all of us, especially in Australia where our students, our future leaders, continue to experience natural disasters alongside the pandemic. These compound crises can make school and learning feel especially overwhelming. I hope to cultivate sessions that students look forward to, and that will hopefully provide a more calming learning environment.
I graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of International Relations in 2016, and I'm currently studying a Master's of Environmental Management at James Cook University. So far, my professional history has been in the non-profit sector. I worked for the world's largest environmental charity, WWF, for four years. Now I'm taking a break to focus on my master's, and to share my love of learning with students around Australia.
I'm 27 years old, and I have extensive experience tutoring. My younger sister is ten years my junior, and I tutored her and many of her classmates throughout primary school and highschool.

I can provide support with English, history, business, legal, environmental and social science subjects. I can also help students develop a healthier approach to studying - I have experience with both highly-focused students as well as those less engaged with schooling, and I can help develop study plans and time and stress-management practices that can help students achieve their academic goals with ease.
I'm an all-rounder with English and social science subjects, my strengths lie in analysis. I can help develop very strong essay writing skills that will help students put forth points, observations and arguments confidently and convincingly, and in a way that aligns with what exam markers look for.
