About Martin
Formal education: Ph.D., Political Science (International Relations), University of Hawaii, 2012; M.P.I.A., International Security Studies, University of Pittsburgh, 2002; B.A., History, University of Dayton, 1995.
I have tutored and mentored college student-athletes, taught international students from Europe, Australia and Mexico in the same classroom and have instructed critical thought in students aged 12 to 30 since 1997. Professionally, I played a small but critical role to help eliminate “the giggle factor” surrounding asteroid and comet defense in 2003-04. In Summer 2008, this served as the basis for elite high school students at a major U.S. university law school debate camp being assigned my 2005 book that I wrote on this and other interrelated topics.
