About Dominick
I graduated from Rollins College in 2015 with a double major in Spanish and International Business. After living in Asturias, Spain, for a year, I became a high school Spanish teacher at Santa Fe High in Gainesville, FL.
At the time, there was no advanced Spanish courses, but after teaching Spanish I & II to 150 students, I was allowed to build a Spanish 3, 4, and AP 5 & 6 program, which I led for 3 years. I also organized and led a AP Spanish trip to Barcelona and Madrid for 6 students in 2017.
Fast forward to 2020 and I've decided to move across the country and start my own personal "Intro-AP" Spanish course for both individuals and groups alike.

Being a high school teacher as a male in his mid twenties required a great deal of patience and innovation. In order to captivate a room full of 14-18 year olds and sell them on the idea of learning a new language I had to create lessons that are both fun and engaging. I quickly learned the best way to do this was through interactive games and challenges. But perhaps more important, I also learned to teach through creating multicultural learners. By first fostering a love of culture it serves as a good motivator to learn and creates a passion for the language, while also instilling the idea of being a global citizen a multicultural world.
