I teach all forms of English all the way up to A Level, have a first class honours degree from a Top 30 University in Literature and Creative Writing and I'm now studying for my MA in folklore.

About Lily
I am twenty-five years old, and have been both in work and studying since I was sixteen. I have always loved literature, and have my head in a book more often than anything else, and I have a passion for equal opportunity learning and aiding in the evolution of the education system to suit not only neurotypicality but neurodivergence, too.
I worked hard at my A Levels to get the grades I needed to get into my dream university, and study my dream subject, and then I graduated from there with a First Class Honours Degree. I had a tutor during my A Level studying years, and she helped me to see that learning comes in all different forms - and I would love to help students feel the same way.
I am now studying for my Master's Degree in Mythology and Folklore, and I hope to one day get a PhD and research or teach at an academic level full time.
Students: if you are looking for someone to help you learn in a way that suits you, helps you enjoy education, whilst also achieving what you need from your grades, then I can definitely do that.

My lessons can be for anyone from primary school level up until Sixth Form or College Level. Years 7 and up would be where I thrive most, but I am willing to work with younger as I have an engaging manner with younger children.
I don't believe in lessons longer than an hour and a half at a time unless there are exams or tests involved, because human focus requires short bursts and breaks. Younger children I would not teach for more than 50 minutes at a time.
My methodology revolves around finding a learner's unique style of learning and capitalising on that. Learning, to me, isn't a one-size-fits-all concept. I had a tutor myself as a teenager and she really opened my eyes to the idea of circumventing "normal" learning processes in order to ENJOY studying and therefore achieve more from it. I would utilise those skills with any potential students, and see how I could encourage new and creative forms of educating themselves whilst also arming them with the tools to work the exam system efficiently.
