About George
Coming from an immigrant background and having completed my doctoral studies where I had to write my thesis in English, I understand how difficult it is for foreigners to not only learn English grammar and spelling, but even more so, to understand cultural norms that should be taken into consideration while speaking or writing in English. For this reason, I put a lot of emphasis on grammar, spelling, and writing, as these are the most crucial aspects to consider while writing. However, I am very flexible about what to focus on with regard to my student's needs and goals.

I have been teaching English to students of all international backgrounds, so I am very adaptable and conscious of cultural differences - not to mention that I am also from an immigrant background as well, so I can empathise even more so. I have also taught different age groups and for different purposes (school, university, career, etc.). I also make my lessons more interactive and make sure to adapt my lessons according to hobbies and personal interests, just to inject fun into education. :D
