About Lin
I started playing classical guitar at the age of 9, continued for 8 years then switched to electric guitar to play blues/rock/metal. If you're reading this I know you always wanted to play jazz - just like me, but you're struggling, you're suffering - you don't know where to start, what to do. I took lessons with Mike Outram and have been teaching at the London School of Economics for jazz guitar and music theory for 3 years now. I sit in jams and do session works regularly for fun.
I understand your struggle and if you want to learn jazz, I will teach you with every single mistakes I've made, progress I've discovered and the best method that worked for me, which will work for you too.

I have a classical guitar background and understand the importance of understanding music theory such as harmony, rhythm or sheet music. At the same time, my 8 years of classical journey enabled me to put my fingers whenever and wherever I want on the guitar. Therefore I emphasise on excercies which boost techniques and understanding of music - at the end of the day, it's not like music lessons just give you 10 years of experience of playing music in 1 hour. YOU have to do the hard work and I'm simply here to help you find the optimal path to your goal.
As a friendly chap, I listen closely to your needs and help you with my experiences, my ability to play jazz and tailored plan for you.
