About Nicolas
I’m a composer and sound designer with a Master’s in Composition for Film & TV from the University of West London, and a degree in Electronic Music Production from Catalyst Berlin. My work blends acoustic and electronic elements, and I specialise in creating immersive, textural, and emotionally-driven sound design. My compositions and installations have been featured at Festival de Cannes, Camden People’s Theatre, and The Place London. I’ve also toured across Europe with experimental bands like Les Pleureuses and Solly Brown Stone, always pushing sound beyond its conventional boundaries. In my teaching, I focus on encouraging curiosity, experimentation, and helping each student develop their own sonic voice using the full creative potential of Ableton Live.

I offer one-on-one lessons in sound design and mixing using Ableton Live. Whether you're just starting out or looking to push your sound further, my sessions are tailored to your level, style, and goals. You’ll learn how to build your own sounds using synthesis, sampling, and audio manipulation. We’ll explore FX chains, automation, spatialisation, layering, and mixing techniques like EQ, compression, and reverb — all through a hands-on, creative approach.
