About Renee
With a Master of Teaching degree from OISE at the University of Toronto and over two years of diverse teaching experience, I am eager to bring my passion for student-centered learning and commitment to inclusive education to your institution.
As a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher at International Schools, I facilitated transdisciplinary learning experiences in English, Math, Inquiry-based learning, Social Emotional Learning, and STEAM in an ELL bilingual environment. Leveraging technology such as Class Dojo, Seesaw, and Kahoot, I enhanced classroom engagement effectively.
As an educator of color, I prioritize representing the unique experiences of my students through culturally relevant pedagogy and inquiry-based learning. I am committed to empowering students to take ownership of their learning and fostering a sense of pride in their achievements.

Hello! My students call me Ms. Renee or Teacher Renee.
As a teacher, I hope to dazzle and inspire curiosity and wonder in students. When students begin to question, they are one step closer to making changes. I strive to be the change I want to see in students. As a teacher, it is our role to be disruptors in their norms and encourage students to realize their potential and take charge of their future.
How our lessons will be structured in 3 part lessons:
1. Warm-up:(pre-assessment through games/conversation)
2. Action: (Going over new concepts, trying it together, and 3. practicing)
Consolidation: ( Recapping what we learned and setting mini goals for the next class)
