About Derek
I graduated in Popular Music - Guitar by Santa Marcelina College in the year 2015. I studied with great musicians including Fernando Corrêa, Djalma Lima, Edu Ribeiro and Sérgio Molina. I have been teaching since 2012. I have been playing guitar and guitar since 2002 and have performed in various rock bands in the city of Varginha - MG and in the city of São Paulo, and I have also toured / performed in different states.

In guitar classes the focus is practical: emphasis on making the student play the songs he likes, as well as a complement of musical appreciation to expand repertory possibilities. Also covered are aspects such as: posture, technique of both hands, coordination, time, sound, timbre and others. Guitar lessons also include a fundamental theoretical foundation for musical development. In theory classes, subjects related to musical structuring, intervals, harmony, counterpoint, rhythm and ear training are approached.
