About Keith
I am an experienced teacher of A-Level History, A-Level Government and Politics and GCSE History. I also taught on the Access to HE programme for a number of years. I completed my PGCE(FE) at Greenwich University in 1993 and was a full-time lecturer at Bromley College from 1995-2015. I am experienced in teaching Modern British and European History, C17th Britain and GCSE World History. In my other specialism I have taught British Politics, Political Ideologies, Global Politics and US Politics. I am also a tutor for GCSE, AS and A2 students and have developed a sound understanding of the needs of learners. I am passionate about both subjects and believe I have inspired many of my former students to take up these disciplines at university. I can provide excellent study support and guidance in exam techniques. I hold an enhanced DBS check established within the last 12 months. History and Politics: I taught A Level History, A Level Government and Politics and GCSE History at Orpington/ Bromley College over a period of approximately 25 years. I was also a tutor during this time and have continued to tutor students since leaving full-time employment. The majority of my students have improved their grades primarily due to my emphasis on exam practice and timing during tutorials.

I thoroughly recommend Keith as a tutor, his lessons are engaging and interesting, based on his extensive historical knowledge, which he shares with his students. I have worked with Keith for 15 years both as colleague and line manager. He teaches History as well as G & P and is a highly successful A Level and GCSE teacher. He has the ability to build an excellent rapport with the students largely through his timely use of humour. He can always see the funny side of any situation. This helps students to relax in his company and to work hard for him. He is able to explain both historical modern political situations in a way that enables students to understand more clearly.
