About Alana
I have been an English teacher for more than 15 years. I studied English Philology with a focus on Teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and did a Master in Literature and Culture.
Throughout these 15 years, I have had the opportunity to teach students of all ages and in different language schools. This has given me a lot of flexibility as a facilitator. I can easily identify the moment to adapt the methodology and/or material according to the needs of each person or group.

Since March my online classes have been quite successful. With students from 4 to 12 years old, 2 classes a week of 30 minutes each are quite effective. Their reduced time, their frequency and continuity help students retain vocabulary and expressions studied.
With adults, I usually use textbooks as a reference, but classes are always prepared according to the needs of each person or group. I usually use videos, TED talks, online games, PowerPoint presentations and music.
Photography, painting and travel are personal passions that can also be part of the classes whenever possible and relevant for the student.

Alana es una profesora con mucha experiencia en la enseñanza de idiomas, tanto a niños como a adultos. El material que utiliza es siempre novedoso y ella los adapta muy bien según el nivel del alumno.
Sus clases son dinámicas e innovadoras y hace con que aprender un idioma sea algo leve y relajado.Tengo 40 años y soy alumno de Alana. La conocí porque era la profe de mi hijo. Como profe es genial. Cuando a alguien le apasiona lo que hace se nota. Se preocupa por innovar en cada clase, para que sea productiva, sin ser aburrida o monótona. Hace las clases cercanas, generando un ambiente de amistad, donde no existe el estrés o miedo por cometer errores.
Alana lleva dos años dándole clases a mi hijo de 10 años y está encantado. Hasta entonces no quería saber nada del inglés y ahora hasta hemos aumentado los días. Ella siempre prepara las clases y las hace muy amenas y divertidas. Desde la pandemia, que hemos pasado al formato online, aún está más contento. Es una gran profe, os la recomiendo!!!!
Alana tiene mucha experiencia dando clases, tanto a niños como a adultos. Clases particulares, academias, universidad... Súper creativa y empática, tiene muchos recursos para que disfrutes aprendiendo un idioma.
