About Carolyn
Owned and operated Halls Hill Pre-School for 15 years in Ellsworth, WI- taught 4 and 5 yr. old children in class sizes of 8.
Early Head Start teacher for CESA 11 for 1 year
Teacher for Head Start classes also for CESA 11 for 1 year.
Early Head Start Teacher making Home visits for WestCAP for 3 1/2 years.
Taught Remedial Reading classes at North Hudson Elementary School for 1 yr. The program taught was called "Soar to Success" and with the individualized instruction, many of the students were able to get up to speed with the rest of their class and many times surpassed their grade level.
Taught for 1 1/2 yrs. in the Gateways program (cognitive and physical disabilities) at North Hudson Elementary School.

I am a retired teacher/case manager and a Grandma. My grandchildren are the light of my life and I have always loved working with children. I enjoy camping, traveling, movies, reading, cooking, baking and most of all, my family.
I Graduated from WSU River Falls with a Bachelor of Science degree (elementary ed. major and music minor).
I Earned a CDA (Child Development Associate) national credential in Early Childhood Education.
I have a current Substitute Teaching license from the DPI of WI.
I understand that all children have their own unique learning style, therefore, I incorporate all the modalities of learning-seeing, hearing, moving and touching in my teaching.
My lessons will be structured around the child's current lessons at school so that they can improve and grow at a constant pace to bring them up to speed with their class.
