About Orla
As a psychology student, I have found myself constantly resorting back to psychologies related to learning and teaching. I have carried that into my teaching style, using learning techniques proven to work and approaching teaching from this perspective. Moving to Ireland from Belgium, I have truly realised how much I miss the French language and using it in my day today life. I would love to be able to share this passion for the language through the teaching of it, and my previous experience with the language and with teaching in general makes me well-qualified for this job.

My approach to teaching languages is very hands on. As someone who is fluent in the language, I place strong emphasis on the conversational aspect and try to create an immersive lesson for the student. Lessons would typically last an hour but this could be shortened or lengthened depending on the student's needs and availability. I have experience with teaching languages and worked as teacher at a summer camp over summer.

Orla was a great tutor who helped me a huge amount with my French Leaving Cert. She was very patient with me, and was great at helping me figure things out every time I had trouble understanding. She was always very prepared with a detailed lesson plan tailor made for me, which helped each lesson flow really well, as well as ensuring we made efficient use of our time.
