About Rani
Hello! My name is Rani, and I am a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with over 20 years of working with children in primary education.
I have always been passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them grow in confidence. Throughout my career, I have worked with pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs and those learning English as an additional language. I enjoy building strong, positive relationships with children and creating a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable to learn and ask questions.
I want to teach because I truly enjoy making a difference in a child’s education. It is very rewarding to see a child understand something new, gain confidence, and start to believe in their own abilities. I aim to make learning enjoyable and accessible, so every child feels motivated and proud of their progress.
My goal is to support each student in reaching their full potential while helping them develop a love for learning that will stay with them throughout their education.

I work in primary school teaching Maths and English, helping children build confidence and develop strong foundational skills. My lessons focus on key areas such as reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and numeracy, while making learning enjoyable and accessible for every child.
Teaching techniques and methodology:
I use a personalised, student-centred approach, adapting each lesson to suit the child’s individual needs, learning style, and pace. Drawing on my extensive classroom experience, I use a range of strategies including clear step-by-step explanations, visual aids, scaffolding, and interactive activities. I also incorporate proven literacy approaches such as phonics support, alongside regular practice and positive reinforcement to build confidence and encourage progress.
Typical lesson length:
Lessons typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour, providing a balanced structure of teaching, practice, and review to ensure steady progress without overwhelming the student.
Qualifications and experience:
I am a qualified and highly experienced Teaching Assistant with over 20 years of experience working across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I hold a BA (Hons) in Educational Studies and have extensive experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions in maths, reading, and writing. I currently work in a primary school, supporting pupils through targeted interventions and tailored learning support.

My lessons are suitable for primary school children (ages 4–11) of all abilities. I tailor each session to meet their individual goals.
I aim to create a positive, nurturing learning environment where children feel comfortable, motivated, and supported to reach their full potential.
