About Mackenzie
I am a teaching candidate who is completing my qualifications to be a Primary/Junior teacher in Ontario. I am passionate about the social sciences, specifically health promotion and statistics, but I have extensive experience tutoring English and Physics as well. I am a published author of 8 books, which I was able to publish throughout the completion of my first degree.

I believe that it is important to understand the "why" when it comes to learning, not just the how. I believe in a student-centred approach, in which students express what specific areas they need support in. My lesson plans tend to begin with a review and minds-on activity, followed by a "I do - We do - You do" practice question approach, and a summary. My lessons are available for students anywhere between Grade 11 and University, depending on the desired subject area.
