About Julie
1st-Class Biomedical Sciences graduate, currently completing my Master’s degree, with a genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential. Having achieved GCSE grades 9–7/As myself, I know the challenges students face — and how to overcome them with the right support and guidance.
What drives me most is seeing students grow in confidence and understanding. About My Teaching Approach
I focus on building a solid understanding of core concepts before moving on to exam-style application and problem-solving with a friendly, structured, and confidence-building approach. I help learners go from confusion to clarity!
Each topic is broken down into manageable sections, ensuring that students not only memorise key facts and formulas, but also understand the “why” behind them — essential for tackling higher-mark questions.
Techniques & Teaching Methodology
I use a mix of:
Active learning: I don’t just explain — I ask questions, use examples, and encourage students to discover concepts for themselves.
Tailored lessons: Each session is customised to the student’s pace and exam board, focusing on weak areas and building on strengths.
Visual & practical explanations: Diagrams, analogies, and real-life examples make complex topics in science and math easier to understand and remember.
Exam strategy focus: I integrate past paper practice, mark scheme analysis, and time management tips into every session.
Consistent structure: Every lesson follows a clear plan — recap, concept breakdown, practice, and review — so students always know what to expect and how they’re progressing.
