About Antara
With over 11 years of teaching experience, I bring a deep commitment to the art of pure Kathak and semi-classical dance. My journey as a dancer and educator is rooted in a lifelong passion for Indian classical arts and a strong desire to share their richness with others. I specialize in method-based teaching that blends discipline, creativity, and cultural depth. My approach emphasizes strong technique, rhythm (taal), expressive storytelling (abhinaya), and learning grace through controlled movement and emotional connection. Whether you're a complete beginner or a dancer looking to refine your skills, my classes are designed to build confidence, poise, and a solid foundation in a supportive and structured environment. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding numerous students on their dance journeys. I am a dedicated dance educator specialising in pure Kathak and semi-classical styles. With a deep-rooted passion for Indian classical arts, I focus on preserving the traditional essence of Kathak while also exploring its expressive potential through semi-classical choreography.
My method of teaching blends structured training in technique and theory with creative expression, ensuring each student builds a solid foundation while developing their individual style. Emphasis is placed on graceful expression (abhinaya), rhythm (taal), and storytelling through movement.
