About Kelbey
The subject of English, specifically writing and reading have always been my strong suit. I love to use reading and writing as an escape from reality for a little while. Throughout my years in school, I have received Highest Honors and scored an advanced rating on the subject of reading, writing, and English while taking the EOC and ACT. I have completed the Class ENGL-110 (College Writing I) and ENGL-112 (Advanced College Writing). These classes have helped me to excel in writing, expanding my skills and knowledge so that I can teach others. I am currently attending Southeast Missouri State University, working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.

As a tutor, I will always ensure that my students are being taught to use their fullest potential. I will ensure that all of my teachings are paced to the students and parents liking. Fun is another aspect that I will be sure to incorporate into my lessons. No one likes to learn in a boring atmosphere! A typical lesson plan will differ with each student. After I evaluate where each student’s understanding and comprehension of the subject is, I will form a lesson to better enhance the student’s performance. Each lesson will help the student to form a better understanding in the subject, make the subject more enjoyable, and ensure that their understanding will leave a lasting impression. As a tutor, I want to make sure that every student is having fun. As a previous K-12 student, I know what it is like to have difficult curriculum to be taught to you, but the teachings are so boring, that the subject seems foreign. I will strive to teach in a way that engages the students, ensuring that each student is truly learning and not simply memorizing the curriculum long enough to pass the next assignment. I will also always take into account that everyone has differences and everyone learns differently. As a tutor, I will always consider this and ensure that the student is always comfortable and engaged.
