Hello! My name is Gowthaam. I am a dedicated educator and a practicing Machine Learning Engineer at a Bulge Bracket Bank holding a B.Tech from Anna University.
My journey with mathematics has always been driven by a passion for logic, structural clarity, and problem-solving. Today, I use those exact principles to design advanced algorithmic systems for one of the world's leading investment banks. Teaching Techniques and Methods
I don't believe in rote memorization or mindless formula drilling. My teaching method is rooted in conceptual intuition. Because my daily work involves translating abstract mathematics into live software code, I teach math as a practical language. I use Visual Mapping to show how equations look in reality, and The Socratic Method—asking targeted questions to lead students to discover the answer themselves, building core problem-solving confidence.
The Usual Structure of a Class
Every 60-minute session is highly structured but dynamic:
The 5-Minute Warm-Up: A quick, fun brain-teaser or a review of the previous concept to get into the mathematical mindset.
The Concept Hook (15 Mins): Introducing a new topic through a real-world story or puzzle before any formulas are written down.
Guided Execution (25 Mins): Working through problems interactively side-by-side, shifting the driving seat to the student as they gain confidence.
The Relatable Wrap-Up (15 Mins): A mini-challenge where the student applies the day's lesson to a practical scenario, followed by a wrap-up of key takeaways.
My Special Features as a Teacher
My distinct edge is that I bridge academia and high-tech industry. Holding a B.Tech from Anna University gives me a rock-solid academic foundation, while my role as a Machine Learning Engineer at a bulge-bracket investment bank allows me to answer the age-old student question: "When am I ever going to use this in real life?" I bring the cutting edge of AI, algorithmic logic, and financial math into simple, relatable, kid-friendly stories.
