About Denis
Having worked in the trade for over 10 years, I have always loved the social connection with customers. I decided to leave this environment to realize my first professional desire turned to teaching and to cultivate this passion of sharing that animates me. So I resumed my studies to become a teacher, first in French by following a training DAEFLE (diploma of aptitude to teach French as a foreign language) by the CNED, then to expand my skills, teacher of English. So I took TEFL training (teach English as a foreign language). Now certified TEFL teacher, I exercise my qualities and skills to provide lessons adapted to the level of home students on Poitiers or webcam I am a volunteer in a local association called ALSIV (access to reading and knowledge essential to life ) in Poitiers, who help people in illiteracy, French or foreign, to realize their project. I give French lessons by adapting to their level and their needs.

I was able to acquire the necessary knowledge of English grammar, to know how to explain it, correct the most common mistakes and provide viable solutions. I was able to develop a teaching methodology with effective preparation and distribution of courses. I deduce the notion to see during the course with targeted questions so that students can deduce the meaning before formulating the rule, they practice using it, and then, in a last time, produce content. I can set up class sessions to achieve learner goals. I acquired a pedagogy that values student participation by using lessons based on daily life, close to their motivations and aspirations. I use rich and varied activities as training and production exercises, always in a climate of conviviality. The frequently performed evaluation allows me to go back over important points and, with adaptability, redefine sessions based on results. Wanting to broaden my spectrum of activity, I also took a specialization in teaching English for children (5-12 years old). Faced with this public, I know to listen and adaptability by planning many varied activities. These activities allow me to maintain the student's attention while respecting his or her biological rhythm.
